CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (NEWSPLEX) — U.S. Senator Mark Warner was in attendance at Wednesday morning’s roundtable discussion where employment was the hot topic on the agenda.
Warner led the discussion on how to improve the work force and issues surrounding the shared economy. Small business owners, free lance workers, and self-employed professionals had the opportunity to address concerns about today’s job market.
The event was hosted by Moonlighting, a mobile company that created an app connecting job seekers to open positions. The app, founded in Charlottesville, operates similarly to popular apps like Uber and Airbnb.
